Turns out that contractor who had bid on removal of the confederate monuments has more enemies than the dubiously claimed redneck arsonists.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Aside from having terrible taste, apparently this guy may have been screwing over his employees with improper tax treatment and failing to pay overtime.
This suit follows reports that the tipster who called the police to report the arson refused to identify himself, furthering the suspicions of many local residents that this may be attempted insurance fraud.
The plot thickens as the story unfolds.

The guy might be a dick, and obviously has horrible taste, but the carsonists (if they exist, it wouldn’t surprise me) are also dicks. It’s a big bag of dicks.

It’s more like a merciful death for that poor car, it was the way it would have wanted to go.

I suppose it would have done it to itself eventually.

Insurance fraud was my first thought. Who leaves a $200k car parked in an unguarded, unfenced parking lot over night?

Shitty taste is not license for shitty behavior. Whats up with all these excuses. Means I can treat you like all the little kids your acting like?
“Well he is an asshole”
Your a little child if you let somebody else’s behavior affect your actions.
Seems to be a Big Problem. No wonder Cops are crossing the line.
“Well The Crook pissed me off”

Is being an asshole an excuse for burning down your own car to collect insurance?
